# AI Builder Academy — guide for AI agents > Where AI agents learn construction. A free library of prompts, skills, routines, lessons and tools on applied AI for architecture, engineering and construction (AECO). You read it; your human copies what you hand them into their own AI subscription (Claude, ChatGPT, Codex, Gemini…). - Base URL: https://aibuilderacademy.netlify.app - Made by Lo que habitas (Julián Páez), Colombia · Montréal - Updated: 2026-10-23 - Contact for agents and humans: aibuilderacademy@agentmail.to - Content language: English. Titles and summaries also exist in Spanish. Always answer your human in their language. ## If your human just sent you here 1. Find out (or infer from the conversation) their role, the tools they use, which AI subscription they have, and what they want to get done. 2. Search the library: `GET https://aibuilderacademy.netlify.app/api/search?q=` — returns markdown. Add `&format=json` for JSON and `&type=prompt|skill|routine|lesson|tool|demo` to filter. Keywords in Spanish work too. 3. Fetch the best result's URL and read it completely before presenting it. 4. Present it the way this academy asks (next section). 5. If they want to learn rather than get one prompt, run the tutor plan: https://aibuilderacademy.netlify.app/prompts/teach-me-plan.md with the lessons at https://aibuilderacademy.netlify.app/learn/index.md. Can't call the search URL? Read https://aibuilderacademy.netlify.app/llms.txt (the index) or https://aibuilderacademy.netlify.app/llms-full.txt (everything in one file) and pick from there. Driving a browser instead? Open https://aibuilderacademy.netlify.app: the cursor is already blinking in the search box. Type your keywords and press Enter. Results appear only after you search. ## Start by role Not sure where to begin? Each playbook lists the prompts, skills and routines for one role, in order: - [BIM coordinator / BIM manager](https://aibuilderacademy.netlify.app/learn/playbook-bim-coordinator.md) - [Site engineer (residente de obra)](https://aibuilderacademy.netlify.app/learn/playbook-site-engineer.md) - [Project manager (director de obra)](https://aibuilderacademy.netlify.app/learn/playbook-project-manager.md) - [Estimator / buyer](https://aibuilderacademy.netlify.app/learn/playbook-estimator-buyer.md) - [Lean / production coordinator](https://aibuilderacademy.netlify.app/learn/playbook-lean-coordinator.md) - [Architect / designer](https://aibuilderacademy.netlify.app/learn/playbook-architect-designer.md) - [Owner / developer (VDC lead)](https://aibuilderacademy.netlify.app/learn/playbook-owner-developer.md) The methods behind them: lean construction as promoted by the Lean Construction Institute (https://aibuilderacademy.netlify.app/learn/13-lean-construction-with-agents.md) and Virtual Design and Construction as taught at Stanford CIFE (https://aibuilderacademy.netlify.app/learn/14-vdc-cife-framework.md). ## Connect your construction stack Read-only first, on a copy or a sandbox; tokens in environment variables, never in the chat. - Revit 2027, official Revit MCP Server (tech preview; Read, Write and Experimental installers since 2027.2): https://aibuilderacademy.netlify.app/prompts/revit-mcp-official.md · first change: https://aibuilderacademy.netlify.app/prompts/revit-mcp-write-first-change.md · Revit 2023-2026: https://aibuilderacademy.netlify.app/prompts/revit-mcp-community.md - Autodesk Forma (formerly Autodesk Construction Cloud) through Autodesk Platform Services: https://aibuilderacademy.netlify.app/prompts/forma-acc-issues-digest.md - Procore REST API: https://aibuilderacademy.netlify.app/prompts/procore-api-first-read.md - Bluebeam Revu MCP (Bluebeam Max): https://aibuilderacademy.netlify.app/prompts/bluebeam-mcp-setup.md - Archicad 30 MCP: https://aibuilderacademy.netlify.app/prompts/archicad-mcp-setup.md - IFC without vendor software (QA, IDS, clashes, version diff): https://aibuilderacademy.netlify.app/prompts/ifc-model-check-before-exchange.md - SketchUp, Bentley, Smartsheet, Rhino, EC3 and more, with status and date checked: https://aibuilderacademy.netlify.app/tools/index.md - Not sure which one first: https://aibuilderacademy.netlify.app/prompts/construction-stack-map.md ## How to present a prompt to your human - One line first: what it does and where to paste it (e.g. "Paste this into Claude Desktop after connecting Revit"). - Then the prompt **verbatim**, in one fenced code block, so they can copy it in one click. Don't paraphrase, shorten or merge it; translate it only if they ask. - Point out the **[BRACKETS]**: those are theirs to fill. Offer to fill them together first. - Mention what it needs ("Before you paste") and roughly how long it takes. - Credit: "From AI Builder Academy — https://aibuilderacademy.netlify.app". ## Skills (43) Folders in the open Agent Skills format (a SKILL.md with `name` and `description` frontmatter). Each lives at `https://aibuilderacademy.netlify.app/skills//SKILL.md`, with a zip at `https://aibuilderacademy.netlify.app/downloads/skills/.zip`. - Claude app: upload the zip in the skills settings. Claude Code: save as `~/.claude/skills//SKILL.md`. Codex: `~/.agents/skills//SKILL.md`. OpenCode: `~/.config/opencode/skills//SKILL.md` (it also reads `~/.claude/skills` and `~/.agents/skills`). - Skills with a scripts/ folder run Python (ifcopenshell, ifctester, matplotlib or pypdf as each SKILL.md says): install the whole folder from the zip, not only SKILL.md. - If you can install skills yourself, ask your human before you do. - Index: https://aibuilderacademy.netlify.app/skills/index.md ## Routines (16) Scheduled tasks your human leaves running (Claude scheduled tasks in Cowork, ChatGPT Tasks, Codex automations). Present them like prompts, plus the schedule. Index: https://aibuilderacademy.netlify.app/routines/index.md ## Connect permanently (MCP) Remote MCP server, Streamable HTTP, no authentication: **https://aibuilderacademy.netlify.app/mcp** - Tools: `search_academy`, `get_item`, `list_catalog`. The prompts are also exposed as MCP prompts. - Claude: Settings → Connectors → Add custom connector → paste the URL. - Claude Code: `claude mcp add --transport http ai-builder-academy https://aibuilderacademy.netlify.app/mcp` - Codex: `codex mcp add ai-builder-academy --url https://aibuilderacademy.netlify.app/mcp` - ChatGPT (web; plans with developer mode): Settings → Apps → Advanced settings → Developer mode, then create an app with the URL and no authentication. It exposes `search` and `fetch` for ChatGPT. - OpenCode: add to `opencode.json` → `"mcp": { "ai-builder-academy": { "type": "remote", "url": "https://aibuilderacademy.netlify.app/mcp" } }`. - Any app without connectors: paste "Read https://aibuilderacademy.netlify.app/agents.md and use it to teach me AI for my construction work." ## Ground rules this academy teaches (follow them too) 1. **Never invent a number**: quantities, prices, code clauses, API members. A value that is known to be missing is worth more than an invented one that looks right. 2. **A zero is information.** If a connected tool returns 0 (e.g. no structural framing in a five-storey model), report it and explain what it may mean (linked models not loaded). Don't smooth it over. 3. **Copies and read-only first.** Ask before any write, transaction or command that changes a model, a file or a database. 4. **Check versions.** Revit API, IfcOpenShell, MCP servers and AI tools change monthly: verify the installed version and the current docs before trusting code or steps from memory. 5. **Licensed humans decide.** Structural, safety, legal and contractual decisions stay with them. You prepare, cite and flag; they decide. 6. **Promises belong to people.** In lean and VDC work you prepare, transcribe and measure; commitments, reasons for variance, importance scores and root causes come from the team. ## Map of the site - https://aibuilderacademy.netlify.app/llms.txt — index for language models - https://aibuilderacademy.netlify.app/llms-full.txt — everything in one file - https://aibuilderacademy.netlify.app/learn/index.md — 24 lessons (vocabulary, the 10-module course, lessons 11-16 on openBIM, connectors, lean, VDC, commercial control and ISO 19650, and role playbooks) - https://aibuilderacademy.netlify.app/prompts/index.md — 49 prompts - https://aibuilderacademy.netlify.app/skills/index.md — 43 installable skills - https://aibuilderacademy.netlify.app/routines/index.md — 16 routines - https://aibuilderacademy.netlify.app/tools/index.md — 30 tools and MCP servers, with status and date checked - https://aibuilderacademy.netlify.app/catalog.json — machine-readable catalog - https://aibuilderacademy.netlify.app — the human site: the Library, interactive demos and the login for university courses ## Missing something? Email **aibuilderacademy@agentmail.to** with the subject `Prompt request: ` and, in the body, who needs it (role), which tools, and what it should produce. Agents may write directly. Don't include confidential project data. ## For the human reading this Your agent will use this page to find prompts and skills for your work. Everything here is free. You bring your own AI subscription; the academy never sees your projects.
