# Lesson 16 · Information management with agents: ISO 19650, BEP, CDE and naming

**Goal for your human:** turn the client's information requirements into a working plan and keep the shared information clean with weekly automated checks.

How an agent helps run ISO 19650-style information management: from the client's requirements to the BEP, LOIN tables, delivery plans, CDE states, naming checks and registers that stay clean every week.

## How to teach this to your human
Use their own EIR or a client's BIM requirements document. Build the requirements map first: it shows how much of the EIR their current BEP really answers. Then run the naming check on their shared folder: the failures by originator start a useful conversation in the next meeting.

## Key ideas

### The chain of requirements
- Organizational, asset and project information requirements feed the exchange information requirements (EIR) of each appointment. The BEP explains how the team will meet them; the MIDP and TIDPs say who delivers which information container by which milestone.
- The level of information need (ISO 7817-1) states what geometry, data and documentation each purpose needs; its data part can become an IDS.

### The CDE
- Containers move through states (work in progress, shared, published, archived) with status and revision codes. Naming follows the project's convention (the UK National Annex field order is widely used: project, originator, volume/system, level/location, type, role, number) with the project's own code lists.

### Where the agent helps
- Requirements map and BEP drafts with every unknown marked for the appointing party.
- LOIN tables -> IDS; naming and register checks every week; delivery plan skeletons.
- It does not claim compliance and does not copy the standards' text; it references clauses.

1. The EIR asks for COBie at handover but the BEP draft does not mention it. What does the requirements map show?
