--- name: ifc-asset-register description: Extract an asset register for handover and facility management (COBie-style Facility, Floor, Space, Type, Component and System sheets) from an IFC model, and list every field still missing for handover - manufacturer, model, serial number, installation date, warranty, space. Use when the user mentions handover, as-built data, COBie, O&M manuals, "entrega a mantenimiento", "inventario de activos", facility management or digital twin onboarding. --- # IFC asset register (handover) ## Inputs - The as-built (or latest) IFC model. Read-only. - Optional: the owner's handover requirements (AIR/EIR, COBie requirement, CAFM import template) and the asset classes they care about. ## Procedure 1. `pip install ifcopenshell` (tested with 0.9.0). 2. Run `python scripts/asset_register.py model.ifc --out-dir register` (use `--classes IfcPump,IfcFan,...` to match the owner's list; the default covers doors, windows, sanitary, appliances, lighting, HVAC and fire equipment). 3. Report counts (floors, spaces, types, components, systems) and the missing-data percentage from `missing_data.csv`. 4. Group the gaps by who can fill them: - Designer/modeller: spaces without names, components not located in a space, elements without type. - Contractor/installer: manufacturer, model, serial number, installation date (they come from submittals, delivery notes and commissioning sheets, not from the model). - Owner: naming conventions, asset classification codes. 5. Propose the fill-in route: a spreadsheet per trade with the GlobalId column locked, then re-import into the authoring tool or write to the IFC with a reviewed script on a copy. 6. If the owner needs real COBie 2.4 (or a specific CAFM template), say this output is COBie-style and map columns to their template before delivery. ## Output - Table of sheets and row counts, gaps by responsible party, and the register folder. ## Never - Never fill manufacturer, serial numbers or dates with plausible values; empty means "to be collected". - Never claim COBie compliance; this is a structured extract to check and complete.
